Diner Review•Mar 24, 2013
This was our 2nd year coming to Spring Training in Clearwater and we've tried other places but Keegan's is consistently the best seafood. The grilled octopus is tender, the calamari melts in your mouth, everything fried is cooked properly and not oily. Salads and sangria are also refreshing.
Diner Review•Apr 29, 2012
I was looking forward to visiting Keegan's and was not disappointed. This is a little 'dive' and was surprised by the crowded atmosphere. It was the hostesses first night on the job but she was obviously a seasoned pro; friendly and welcoming. The place was packed and the waitstaff was moving. Food was always coming out of the kitchen which I think is a good sign. We ordered the crab cakes for an appetizer. After about ten minutes, our waiter informed us that he wasn't happy with how they came out and had asked the chef to redo them. I thought another good sign. When they arrived, the were great. Meaty an flavorful. The sauce was terrific. I ordered the special, pineapple chutney wahoo on rice. The dish was very flavorful but he rice was awesome. I could have eaten the rice as an entree. I usually don't like coconut in my entree, but the addition was fabulous. My wife had the lobster and it was so good she refused to share with me. If you are looking to dress up and go to a five star fancy restaurant this is not the place for you. The food and the service are five star but it's just a beach dive. It was our first time and we will be back for more. Check it out
