Started off with the baked Brie that came with Itallian bread, that was excellent! My Wife had the Shrimp Scampi..snore. Boring. That to me is like ordering a Taco at a Mexican joint. No offence to Keagans. Me, I Like to try new things so I got the Pineapple Soy glazed grilled Swordfish. Man was it beyond excellent, I loved it and can't believe I've never had Swordfish before and glad my first was here because they do it up nice over a carved out pineapple with the pineapple cuts and orange along with rice. The sauce they use isn't over bearing but just right. And if I can say, the whole Dish "was on point".

Ammmazing local spot, so many good things on the menu, and killer Key Lime pie. Try the Cracked Conch!

This was my first trip to Keegan's and will not be the last! Great local spot w/ exceptional service and fantastic food!!! I travel for work and eat at good restaurants all over the country and the snapper I had last night was one of the best pieces of fish I've ever had!! Priced very reasonably for the quality of the dish and the selection.

Awesome. Just wonderful. Laid back, low key, local favorite. Absolutely delicious Parmesan-encrusted Grouper Cheeks sandwich. Tasty cajun gator tail. I can't wait to go back - this is definitely a favorite. Now I must find a video of the "Diners,

We were looking for something away from the crowds at Clearwater Beach and found Keegans on Trip Advisor. We had always wanted to try an Triple-D restaurant and were happy to stumble on one. We had the grilled octopus appetizer which turned out be the most tender octopus we've ever had. My wife had the triple tail special and I had grouper and both were excellent. The key lime pie was homemade and very tasty. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

Local seafood specials a hit!”

We visited Keegan's on March 9,2013. We are staying in a cottage across the street and have watched people line up all week waiting to get in for lunch and dinner. I can see why. Their local seafood specials are delicious. We had the parmesan encrusted grouper cheeks which were sweet and tender. A table next to us tried the grilled octopus and blackened grouper. We will go back and try other items featured on DINERS, DRIVE-INS AND DIVES

A casual spot that has built a loyal local following over 25 years by offering seafood that goes beyond grouper sandwiches — though they have those too — with charbroiled octopus, gumbo, she-crab soup and blackened gator tail. Regulars know to check the specials on the blackboard. Featured in an episode of the Food Network show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, it's hard to say it fits any of those descriptions, so don't let the strip mall location fool you.

In 1985, the year I moved to St Petersburg, Florida from Lake Villa,
Illinois. That year I was going for my diver's license at the Indian
Rocks Dive shop near your restaurant. The two dive instructors at the
time invited me to dinner at your restaurant that recently opened, for
what they called an awesome Blackened Grouper sandwich. They said you
have to try this! So I did and I have to say it's the Best Blackened
Grouper sandwich ever!! AND, every time I went back the sandwich was
the SAME!!! EVER TIME!! A year later or so I brought a young woman with
me on a date who later became my wife, to try your Blackened Grouper
Sandwich. She was amazed how good it was! We went back quite a few times
to enjoy the Blackened Grouper Sandwich before we moved to the north to
Milton, Vermont in '87. We went back to the Tampa area for vacation in
2003. We couldn't wait to see if the restaurant was still there, and it
was!!! So we had our usual Blackened Grouper Sandwich. We were so amazed
and delighted that the sandwich tasted the same as we remembered!!!! You
have no idea how much we enjoyed it! After all these years we still
crave for the Keegan's Blackened Grouper Sandwich! We had blackened
grouper for dinner tonight and we thought of our dinner's out at
Keegan's. So we thought that we could check out your restaurant on the
internet. We found your still there!! That's great! We know for sure
that the next visit to the Tampa area we'll be stopping at Keegan's!!!

Thanks again for your great sandwich!!

This was our 2nd year coming to Spring Training in Clearwater and we've tried other places but Keegan's is consistently the best seafood. The grilled octopus is tender, the calamari melts in your mouth, everything fried is cooked properly and not oily. Salads and sangria are also refreshing.
